Day 1: Arrive Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)
Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, meet your guide, and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City / Cu Chi - Ho Chi Minh City Tour (B, L)
A morning tour to visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the long struggle for independence. In the afternoon a city tour of dynamic Ho Chi Minh City, still called Saigon by many locals, takes in the former Presidential Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office, and the Thien Hau Pagoda in the city's bustling Chinatown. Overnight Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City / Vinh Long (Mekong Delta) (B,L)
7h30 am: Our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel. You leave Saigon to Mekong Delta, especially you visit Cai be-Vinh Long provinces. It takes you about 1h30 going there. For people living in Mekong, their lives are attached to rivers, water. Almost activities could be organized on river as living, working, market gathering. On the way you can see the green paddy rice fields stretching forwards the horizon. Upon arrival in Caibe town, you’ll be on board for an exploration of lush vegetation of Mekong Delta and the Caibe lively floating market buyers bargaining. Next, a crowing boat rides on the maze of shady canals to arrive at a local orchard to enjoy the local tropical fruits and visit the daily activities, the handicraft villages of local people as making coconut candy and rice paper with pop-rice and pop-corn, rice-wine. You enjoy the traditional folk music, called “Cai Luong”.
Break your time for lunch at Ba Kiet, old house built since 1838 inside the garden. From here, you can walk around the garden before your back to Ho Chi Minh city.
Day 4: Ho Chi Minh City – Dalat (B, L)
After breakfast, leave Saigon for Dalat - the charmng city in Highland. enjoy the beauty of scenery en route. Visit HoaBinh market , Prenn Water Fall and TuyenLam Pagoda in Dalat. Overnight in Dalat.
Day 5: Dalat / Nha Trang (B, L)
Am : Visit flower Garden, Former Palace of Emperor Bao Dai - The last Emperor of Vietnam. Lunch. Afternoon, transfer to Nha trang . The left of the day is open for free sea bathing at NhaTrang beach.. Overnight in NhaTrang.
Day 6: Nha Trang (B,L)
8:00am starting boat trip to Hon Mun Island and fishing village in NhaTrang, visit coral island and TriNguyen Aquarium. An afternoon city tour includes the Po Nagar Cham Towers and Long Son Pagoda with its enormous white Buddha statue. Overnight Nha Trang
Day 7: Nha Trang / Danang / Hoi An (B,L) Flight
Transfer to the airport for a flight to Danang. On arrival in Danang, visit the Cham Museum, containing the finest collection of Cham sculpture in the world. Continue to Hoi An, a major Asian trading port in the 17th and 18th centuries whose architecture and relaxed lifestyle has changed little over the years. Take a walking tour of the old town center to visit the former merchants' homes, the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, and the colorful market. Overnight Hoi An.
Day 8: Hoi An - My Son - Hoi An (B, L)
A half-day trip to visit the capital and religious center of the former Champa Kingdom, My Son. Here, 40km southwest of Hoi An in a lush green valley, are dozens of red brick towers and sanctuaries dating from between the 7th and 13th centuries. Enjoy an afternoon excursion on boat to visit some ceramic villages. Overnight Hoi An.
Day 9: Hoi An - Hue (B, L)
Depart Hoi An for Hue after breakfast. Upon arrival, take a boat trip on the romantically named Perfume River to visit Hue's best-known religious site, the Thien Mu Pagoda. Afterwards, visit the elaborate mausoleums of emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh. Overnight Hue.
Day 10: Hue - Hanoi (B, L) Flight
In the morning, visit the Imperial Citadel from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945. Transfer to airport for flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. Free at leisure on your own. Overnight Hanoi.
Day 11: Hanoi City Tour (shouldn't be on a Monday) (B, L)
After breakfast, take a full day city tour in Hanoi - Hanoi is a unique city with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and oriental temples. The city tour includes such sights as the Temple of Literature, Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda, and the Fine Arts Museum. In the late afternoon visit the Museum of Ethnology, then take a one hour cyclo tour (Vietnamese rickshaw) to see the Lake of the Restored Sword and the Old Quarter. In the evening enjoy Water Puppet Show. Overnight Hanoi.
Day 12: Hanoi - Halong Junk Boat (B,L,D)
08:00 – 08:30: Pick-up at hotel and start the 3 hour-and-a-half drive to Hong Gai Tourist Wharf, check in
Oriental Sails JSC’s private waiting hall - The OS Lounge.
12:30 – 13:00: Embark on Oriental Sails followed by cruise briefing.
13:00 – 15:30: Savor a delectable lunch as Oriental Sails cruises further along the limestone islands of Bai
Tu Long Bay.
15:30 – 16:30: You are free to choose one of the below options:
Fishing village visit
Those are interested in local daily life: Take a bamboo rowing boat trip (around 45 minutes) around Vung Vieng fishing village - one of the largest fishing villages in Halong Bay to see the life of local fishermen. The village is set in closed lagoon, surrounded by mountains, excellent settings for some good photos.
16:30 – 17:30: Return to Oriental Sails and have bath then relax as the sun starts to set.
17:30-19:00: Enjoy the Happy Hour at the bar and on the sun deck and take part in our cooking class with
Oriental Sails Chef
19:00: Dinner is served. Socialize with other guests, night squid fishing or just laze around. Singing and
dancing activities are available till 22h00.
Overnight on board at Cong Do Area
Day 13: Halong - Hanoi (B,L)
06:30 – 07:00: Start your day with Tai Chi exercise on the sundeck.
07:00 – 09:00: Catch morning view of seascapes with a cup of tea or coffee, have breakfast while cruising
toward Thien Canh Son Cave
09:00 – 09:30: Visit Thien Canh Son Cave – the medium size and less visited cave in Bai Tu Long Bay
09:30 – 10:00: Check-out room. Luggage can be delivered to the reception area.
10:00 – 11:00: Head back to the Harbor. Have early lunch on board.
Disembark Oriental Sails at around 12h00.
12:00 – 16:30: Transfer back to Hanoi and trip finishes at the hotel around 16h30. Night in Hanoi. |
